Crispy, golden air fryer sliced potatoes that are tender inside and perfectly seasoned. A quick, easy, and healthier alternative to deep-fried snacks.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes and peel them if desired. Slice into 1/4-inch rounds.
  2. Soak the slices in cold water for 15–30 minutes, then drain and pat dry completely.
  3. Place slices in a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat air fryer if needed. Arrange potato slices in a single layer in the basket.
  5. Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping or shaking halfway through. Cook thicker slices up to 18 minutes.
  6. Remove when crisp and golden. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Soaking the potatoes improves crispiness but can be skipped if needed.
  • Try variations like Italian seasoning or smoked paprika with chili powder.
  • Sweet potatoes can be used, but reduce cooking time slightly.
  • Leaving the skin on adds texture and nutrients.
