Quick and easy apple pie dumplings made with flaky crescent roll dough and sweet apple filling, baked until golden and warm for a comforting, bite-sized dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
  • 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Separate the crescent roll dough into individual triangles and lay them flat.
  3. Spoon apple pie filling onto the wide end of each triangle, including some syrup.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon over the filling if desired.
  5. Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip, enclosing the filling.
  6. Place the dumplings seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
  7. Optionally sprinkle extra cinnamon on top.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Best served warm.
