Apple slices, for garnish
Cinnamon sticks, for garnish
For the cinnamon simple syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
Instructions
- Make the cinnamon simple syrup: In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes. Strain and cool before using.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine apple pie moonshine, apple juice, cinnamon syrup, and lemon juice with ice.
- Shake or stir for 10–15 seconds until chilled.
- Strain into glasses over fresh ice.
- Garnish with apple slices and a cinnamon stick before serving.
Notes
- Swap apple juice with spiced apple cider for deeper flavor.
- Add a splash of bourbon for extra strength and complexity.
- Use maple syrup instead of cinnamon syrup for a twist.
- Top with cinnamon whipped cream or caramel drizzle for an indulgent version.
- Serve warm by gently heating the cocktail on the stove (do not boil).
- Leftover cocktail mix keeps up to 24 hours in the fridge.
- Cinnamon simple syrup lasts up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
