Banana Split Fluff Salad is a creamy, fruity no-bake dessert made with banana pudding, crushed pineapple, whipped topping, marshmallows, chocolate chips, cherries, and bananas. It combines the classic flavors of a banana split in a light, fluffy dessert perfect for gatherings and potlucks.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
  • Yield: 8–10 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 box (3.4 ounces) instant banana pudding mix
  • 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, with juice
  • 1 container (8 ounces) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced
  • 1 jar (10 ounces) maraschino cherries, drained and halved

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant banana pudding mix with the crushed pineapple and its juice.
  2. Stir until the pudding begins to dissolve and the mixture thickens slightly.
  3. Fold in the thawed whipped topping until the mixture becomes smooth and fluffy.
  4. Add the mini marshmallows, mini chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, sliced bananas, and halved maraschino cherries.
  5. Gently fold everything together until evenly combined while keeping the fruit intact.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend.
  7. Serve chilled in a large bowl or portion into individual dessert cups.

Notes

  • Use the pineapple with its juice to properly activate the pudding mix.
  • Toss banana slices with a small amount of lemon juice to help prevent browning.
  • Chopped pecans can replace walnuts if preferred.
  • Sliced strawberries can be added for extra fruit flavor.
  • For a sweeter finish, drizzle chocolate syrup over the top before serving.
