Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing hands and dish
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup chocolate sprinkles
Instructions
- Add butter to a medium saucepan and melt over medium heat.
- Stir in sweetened condensed milk and cocoa powder until smooth.
- Cook, stirring constantly, for 10–14 minutes until thick and pulling away from sides of pan.
- Remove from heat and spread mixture in a buttered 8×8-inch dish in an even layer.
- Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours until fully set.
- Grease hands with butter and scoop small portions of the mixture.
- Roll each portion into a ball and coat with chocolate sprinkles.
- Place finished brigadeiros on a serving plate or container and refrigerate until serving.
Notes
- Try rolling in cocoa powder or shredded coconut instead of sprinkles.
- Add vanilla extract for extra flavor depth.
- Use colored sprinkles for festive occasions.
- Keep hands slightly greased to make rolling easier and neater.
