Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions until tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the whole milk and pizza sauce, stirring to combine. Let it simmer gently for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
- Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and gently toss until evenly coated.
- Transfer the tortellini mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
- Add the grated parmesan cheese and arrange the turkey pepperoni slices over the cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
