- 1 (16 oz) package frozen French fries (shoestring or crinkle-cut)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease.
- Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
- Stir in both soups until well combined and heated through.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Top with frozen French fries in a single layer.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until fries are golden and crispy.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese over top and return to oven until cheese melts.
- Let rest a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use cream of onion or cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom for variety.
- Try tater tots as a fun substitute for fries.
- Mix in Worcestershire sauce or mustard for extra burger flavor.
- Top with pickles or tomatoes after baking for a cheeseburger-style finish.
- Reheat covered in the oven or microwave individual portions.
