Ingredients
- 12 pretzel slider buns or pretzel dinner rolls
- 2 pounds ground beef (80/20 for best juiciness)
- 1 teaspoon fine salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 12 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a large baking dish.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Remove from heat.
- Slice pretzel buns in half horizontally without separating them individually. Place bottom halves in the baking dish.
- Spread the cooked beef evenly over the buns. Layer cheddar cheese slices on top.
- Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden.
- Remove from oven, let rest a few minutes, slice into individual sliders, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use lean beef to reduce excess grease and avoid soggy buns.
- You can prepare the beef mixture ahead of time for quicker assembly.
- Pretzel buns give the best flavor but regular buns work too.
- Let the sliders rest before slicing to keep their shape intact.
