Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup milk or heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread cooked chicken evenly in the baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, milk or cream, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour sauce over the chicken and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese on top.
- In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs or crushed crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle over the cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.

- Add cooked broccoli or green beans for a veggie boost.
- Use heavy cream for a richer sauce.
- Layer cooked noodles or rice at the bottom for a more filling meal.
- Swap Swiss cheese with mozzarella or provolone if desired.
- Store leftovers for 3–4 days or freeze unbaked casserole for up to 2 months.
