Ingredients

    • Cake:
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 8 oz dark chocolate, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat eggs with orange juice, oil, vanilla extract, and orange zest until smooth.
  4. Gradually add wet ingredients to the dry mixture, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool cakes completely before assembling.
  7. Spread orange marmalade and whipped cream between the cooled cake layers.
  8. For ganache, gently heat the cream and mix with melted chocolate until smooth and glossy.
  9. Pour ganache over the cake, letting it drip down the sides.
  10. Decorate with fresh orange slices if desired, then serve.
