- 6 cups Honeycomb cereal
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the Honeycomb cereal in a large bowl and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter with the brown sugar and corn syrup, stirring until smooth.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and cook for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in the baking soda and vanilla extract.
- Pour the hot mixture over the cereal and gently stir until evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the cereal and toss again.
- Spread the cereal evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for about 8 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
- Remove from oven, let cool completely, then break into bite-sized clusters.
