Ingredients
- For the rolls:
- 1 tube (8 oz) crescent roll dough sheet
- 1 medium apple, peeled and chopped into 1/4-inch pieces
- 1/3 cup brown and white sugar blend
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- For the maple glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix chopped apple, sugar blend, cinnamon, and nutmeg until coated.
- Unroll crescent dough sheet onto a clean surface, pressing seams together if needed.
- Brush melted butter evenly over the dough.
- Spread apple mixture evenly over dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
- Roll tightly from the long side into a log.
- Slice into 8 equal rolls with a sharp knife.
- Place cut-side up on baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Cool rolls 5 minutes, then drizzle glaze over top. Serve warm.
Notes
- Chop apples finely to prevent excess moisture.
- Roll dough tightly and place seam-side down to prevent unrolling.
- Adjust milk in glaze for desired consistency.
- Best served warm for soft centers and smooth glaze.
