Ingredients
2 ripe but firm bananas
1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice into 1/8-inch thick rounds.
- Mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl.
- Toss banana slices with melted coconut oil to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over the slices and toss again to coat.
- Preheat air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
- Arrange banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
- Air fry for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely to crisp further before serving.
Notes
- Use bananas that are ripe but firm to ensure they crisp up.
- Add a pinch of cayenne for a spicy twist or drizzle with dark chocolate for a dessert option.
- For a savory variation, skip the sugar and use spices like paprika or garlic powder.
- Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Re-crisp in the air fryer for a couple of minutes if needed.
