Ingredients

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, granulated sugar, and instant yeast. Stir and let sit briefly.
  2. Add the egg, melted butter, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, blend the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Roll the dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface, sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture, and lightly spread the cream cheese mixture on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from the long edge and slice into 12 rolls. Arrange rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes or until puffy.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25–30 minutes until lightly golden.
  9. Optional: Mix powdered sugar with milk and drizzle glaze over warm rolls before serving.
