This creamy Clam Dip is a quick and flavorful appetizer made with softened cream cheese, tender minced clams, lemon juice, and a touch of Worcestershire. It’s easy to make, rich yet balanced, and perfect for dipping chips, crackers, or veggies.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 cup (serves 4–6 as appetizer)

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 6.5 ounces minced clams, drained (reserve juice)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • Tabasco sauce, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, stir softened cream cheese with 1 tablespoon of reserved clam juice until smooth.
  2. Mix in lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in green onions and minced clams.
  4. If dip is too thick, add more clam juice 1 tablespoon at a time to reach desired consistency.
  5. Add Tabasco sauce to taste, if desired.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl and chill for 30 minutes if time allows, or serve immediately.

Notes

  • Add more lemon juice for a tangier dip.
  • Try a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder for added flavor.
  • Swap clams for chopped shrimp or crab for a seafood variation.
  • Great served with chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.
  • Best served cold; stir before serving if chilled.
