Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 15 oz jar Alfredo sauce
- 15 oz jar marinara sauce
- 19 oz frozen cheese tortellini
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Parsley flakes (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and chopped onion. Cook until sausage is browned and onions are soft. Drain excess grease.
- Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in garlic, Alfredo sauce, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Add frozen tortellini and stir to coat. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes, or until tortellini is heated through and tender.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top. Either cover until melted or place in a 400°F oven for a few minutes until bubbly.
- Garnish with parsley flakes before serving, if desired.
Notes
- Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or zucchini for extra nutrition.
- Use fresh tortellini for quicker cooking.
- Substitute turkey sausage or light Alfredo for a lighter version.
- Add extra red pepper flakes or spicy sausage for more heat.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days, reheating gently with added liquid to loosen the sauce.
