- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crunch)
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray (for greasing the baking dish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, pour the melted butter.
- Dip each chicken breast into the melted butter, then press into the breadcrumb-cheddar mixture to coat thoroughly.
- Place the coated chicken breasts into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the coating is golden and crispy.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
