Ingredients
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup cornstarch
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Dredge shrimp in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with cornstarch.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry shrimp until golden brown and crispy, then set aside.
- In the same pan, combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
- Simmer the sauce for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the glaze.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles, if desired.
Notes
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Swap lemon juice with pineapple juice for a tropical twist.
- Air fry the shrimp for a lighter version.
- The glaze also works great with chicken tenders.
- Top with green onions or sesame seeds for extra flavor and texture.
