  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/2 cup cornstarch

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 eggs, beaten

1/2 cup flour

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup honey

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge shrimp in flour, dip into beaten eggs, then coat with cornstarch.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry shrimp until golden brown and crispy, then set aside.
  5. In the same pan, combine honey, garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
  6. Simmer the sauce for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the glaze.
  8. Serve hot over rice or noodles, if desired.

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Swap lemon juice with pineapple juice for a tropical twist.
  • Air fry the shrimp for a lighter version.
  • The glaze also works great with chicken tenders.
  • Top with green onions or sesame seeds for extra flavor and texture.
