This Crockpot Loaded Steak and Potato Bake is a hearty, slow-cooked comfort meal featuring tender steak, savory potatoes, and a flavorful garlic-onion broth. Perfect for busy days when you want a no-fuss, satisfying dinner.

  • Total Time: 6 to 8 hours
  • Yield: 4 to 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into cubes
  • 4 large potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Optional: Sear steak cubes in a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes per side for added flavor.
  2. Place seared steak in bottom of crockpot. Add diced potatoes, chopped onion, and minced garlic on top.
  3. Sprinkle onion soup mix, salt, and pepper evenly. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Add butter on top without stirring.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until steak is tender and potatoes are cooked through.
  5. Gently stir contents, taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use chuck roast or beef stew meat as alternatives to sirloin.
  • Add vegetables like carrots or mushrooms for more variety.
  • Swap regular potatoes for sweet potatoes for a touch of sweetness.
  • Thicken sauce with a cornstarch slurry if desired after cooking.
  • Great for meal prep—flavors deepen after refrigerating overnight.
