Easter Dirt Cake is a fun, no-bake layered dessert made with crushed Oreo cookies, creamy chocolate pudding, and a fluffy whipped filling. Topped with festive candies, it’s the perfect Easter centerpiece.

Ingredients

  • 26 oz Oreo cookies, crushed (2 packages)
  • 1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted or salted butter, melted
  • 6.8 oz instant chocolate pudding mix (2 boxes)
  • 3 cups (720 ml) milk
  • 8 oz (226 g) full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/2 cup (65 g) powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 12 drops green food coloring (optional)
  • Marshmallow bunny candies (optional)
  • Candy-coated chocolate eggs (optional)
  • Jelly beans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pulse one package of Oreos into fine crumbs. Mix with melted butter and press into a 9×13-inch dish. Refrigerate.
  2. Whisk pudding mix with milk until thickened. Chill 10–15 minutes.
  3. Beat cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Whip cold heavy cream to soft peaks. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream cheese. Beat to stiff peaks.
  5. Roughly crush some Oreos and finely crush others for topping.
  6. Fold whipped mixture and roughly crushed Oreos into chilled pudding.
  7. Spread filling over crust and top with fine Oreo crumbs.
  8. Refrigerate at least 3 hours until set.
  9. Decorate with tinted coconut and candies before serving.

Notes

  • Chill at least 3 hours for best structure.
  • Add decorations just before serving.
  • Store refrigerated up to 3 days.
  • Do not freeze as texture may change.
  • Whole milk gives richest pudding texture.
