Ingredients

  • Cheesecake Topping:
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175–180°C). Grease or line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, melted butter or oil, and eggs. Stir until smooth. Pour into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife or spatula to create a marbled effect.
  5. Bake for 30–40 minutes or until edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle. A toothpick should come out with moist crumbs.
  6. Let cool in the pan, then chill for at least 1 hour before slicing for cleaner cuts and improved texture.
