Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 lb breakfast sausage
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook breakfast sausage until browned and cooked through. Break it apart with a spoon while cooking.
- Drain excess grease and stir in cream cheese until smooth and well combined. Let the mixture cool slightly.
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of sausage mixture on the wide end of each triangle and roll up toward the tip.
- Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
- Mix in shredded cheddar or pepper jack for extra cheesiness.
- Use Italian sausage instead of breakfast sausage for a bolder flavor.
- Serve with scrambled eggs or fruit for a full brunch spread.
- Reheat in the oven for a crispy texture; avoid microwave if possible.
