Ingredients
- 1 packet coffee flan mix (about 120 g, such as Royal coffee flan mix)
- 500 ml whole milk
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee (optional, for stronger flavor)
- 3 tablespoons caramel sauce for the mold
Instructions
- Lightly coat the bottom of a flan mold or serving dish with caramel sauce.
- In a saucepan, pour the milk and add the sugar, stirring gently until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the coffee flan mix to the milk and whisk thoroughly until completely dissolved and smooth.
- If you prefer a stronger coffee flavor, add the instant coffee and mix well.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to gently boil.
- Remove from heat and continue stirring for about 30 seconds to maintain a smooth texture.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared mold.
- Allow it to cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 to 3 hours until fully set.
- To serve, run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate if desired.

- Whisk the flan mix thoroughly before heating to avoid lumps.
- Stir continuously while cooking to maintain a smooth consistency.
- Use instant coffee only if you want a stronger coffee flavor.
- This dessert can be prepared a day in advance.
