Ingredients
- 10 fresh jalapeños, halved lengthwise and seeded
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 10 smoked turkey strips, cut in half
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Wash the jalapeños thoroughly, slice them lengthwise, and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Spoon the cheese mixture evenly into each jalapeño half.
- Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with half a smoked turkey strip.
- Place the wrapped jalapeños seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until the turkey is slightly crisp and the filling is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- Removing all seeds and membranes will make the jalapeños milder.
- You can use mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar.
- Do not overfill the jalapeños to prevent the filling from spilling out.
- Mini sweet peppers can be used for a non-spicy version.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for about 10–12 minutes as an alternative cooking method.
