Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb bok choy, sliced in half
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil with the salt and blanch bok choy for 1 minute. Remove and set aside.
  2. Mix cornstarch and water until smooth, then stir in oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, bouillon powder, and sesame oil.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sauce mixture to the skillet and simmer until it thickens.
  5. Place bok choy on a serving plate and pour the garlic sauce over. Serve immediately.
