- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Meatball Bombs:
- 12 Italian-style beef meatballs, fully cooked
- 8 ounces whole mozzarella cheese, cut into 12 cubes
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce, plus more for dipping
- 12 refrigerated dinner rolls (about 1 pound dough total)
- Topping:
- 2 tablespoons grated cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, grated garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Flatten each dinner roll into a 4-inch circle.
- Place a meatball in the center of each dough circle. Add 1 teaspoon marinara sauce and a cube of mozzarella on top of each meatball.
- Wrap the dough around the filling and seal tightly. Place seam-side down in the baking dish.
- Brush tops generously with garlic butter and sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve warm with extra marinara sauce.
Notes
- Use turkey or chicken meatballs for a lighter option.
- Add red pepper flakes to the butter for heat.
- Swap mozzarella with provolone or cheddar for variation.
- Ensure dough is well sealed to prevent cheese leakage.
