Tender, juicy sirloin steak bites seared to perfection and tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce. This quick and flavorful one-skillet recipe is perfect for busy weeknights or effortless entertaining.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings (main) or 6 (appetizer)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 4 to 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Remove steak from the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Cut steak into evenly sized cubes and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
  4. Once hot, add steak cubes in a single layer without overcrowding. Sear for about 2 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer cooked steak to a plate and repeat with remaining pieces if needed.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low and add the remaining butter to the skillet.
  7. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, without browning.
  8. Remove skillet from heat, return steak and juices to the pan, and toss to coat in garlic butter.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ribeye or strip steak for a richer flavor.
  • Add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter for a spicy twist.
  • Try your favorite steak seasoning blend instead of just salt and pepper.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for 3 to 4 days, but avoid freezing.
  • Reheat gently over low heat to maintain steak tenderness.
