Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until fully combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and walnut pieces.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
- Cool on pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use dark or milk chocolate chips based on preference.
- Omit nuts or replace with pecans or almonds if desired.
