Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin or flank steak, sliced into thin strips
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Pat steak strips dry with paper towels. Season with salt, black pepper, and optional paprika.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic to make the glaze.
- Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil.
- Place steak strips in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes per side until browned.
- Reduce heat to medium and pour in the honey soy glaze. Toss to coat steak evenly.
- Let the glaze bubble and caramelize for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately, drizzling any extra glaze over top.
Notes
- For spicier flavor, add red pepper flakes, cayenne, or sriracha to the glaze.
- Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free version.
- Add citrus (lemon or orange juice) for brightness.
- To make vegetarian, substitute steak with tofu or tempeh.
- Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers reheat well in a skillet.
