Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- Ice cubes (for the ice bath)
- Salt (optional, for seasoning after cooking)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 270°F (130°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Place eggs in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each egg for proper airflow.
- Cook for 15 to 17 minutes, depending on desired yolk firmness.
- While eggs cook, prepare an ice bath with ice and cold water in a bowl.
- After cooking, transfer eggs immediately into the ice bath and let sit for 5–10 minutes.
- Tap each egg gently on a hard surface, roll to crack the shell, and peel under running water for ease.
- Season with salt if desired and enjoy or store for later use.
Notes
- Reduce cook time to 13–14 minutes for soft-boiled eggs with runny yolks.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer; airflow is key for even cooking.
- Use these eggs for deviled eggs, salads, sandwiches, or snacks.
- Store peeled eggs with a damp paper towel in an airtight container to prevent drying.
