Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz / 410 g each) green beans, drained
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup (85 g) crispy fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix until smooth.
  5. Add cooked beef mixture and drained green beans. Stir to combine.
  6. Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread evenly and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven, sprinkle crispy fried onions on top, and bake an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
