Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat grill to medium-high.
- Tear 4 large pieces of aluminum foil (about 12×12 inches each).
- In a large bowl, mix potatoes, carrots, onion, and bell pepper with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Divide vegetables evenly among the foil sheets.
- Shape ground beef into 4 patties and place one on top of each vegetable pile.
- Fold foil tightly over contents to make sealed packets.
- Place packets on a baking sheet (for oven) or directly on the grill.
- Cook 30–40 minutes until beef is fully cooked and vegetables are tender.
- Carefully open packets, let cool slightly, and serve hot.
Notes
- Swap ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Add zucchini, mushrooms, or corn for extra vegetables.
- Mix Worcestershire or barbecue sauce into beef for extra flavor.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese into packets before sealing for a cheesy twist.
- Packets can be assembled ahead and refrigerated until ready to cook.
