Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat grill to medium-high.
  2. Tear 4 large pieces of aluminum foil (about 12×12 inches each).
  3. In a large bowl, mix potatoes, carrots, onion, and bell pepper with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Divide vegetables evenly among the foil sheets.
  5. Shape ground beef into 4 patties and place one on top of each vegetable pile.
  6. Fold foil tightly over contents to make sealed packets.
  7. Place packets on a baking sheet (for oven) or directly on the grill.
  8. Cook 30–40 minutes until beef is fully cooked and vegetables are tender.
  9. Carefully open packets, let cool slightly, and serve hot.
