Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups cooked diced potatoes or hash browns
- 1 1/2 cups crushed cornflakes or buttery crackers
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix cooked chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Add cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in cooked potatoes and spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix crushed cornflakes or crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Top with remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 35 minutes or until hot, bubbly, and golden on top.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
