Ingredients
- 10 slices soft white sandwich bread
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Trim crusts from each bread slice and flatten with a rolling pin until thin.
- Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Brush one side of each slice with melted butter.
- Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Drizzle about 1 teaspoon honey over each slice and sprinkle walnuts if using.
- Roll each slice tightly into a log shape.
- Brush the outside lightly with more melted butter.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place roll-ups seam-side down in basket, leaving space between each.
- Cook for 6–8 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Drizzle with additional honey while warm and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
- For oven method, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes until crisp and golden.
Notes
- Serve immediately for best crispiness.
- Reheat in air fryer or oven to restore crunch.
- Soft white bread rolls most easily without cracking.
- Nuts are optional but add traditional baklava texture.
- Reduce honey and sugar slightly for a less sweet version.
