Ingredients

12 lasagna noodles

1 pound ground beef

2 cups ricotta cheese

3 cups mozzarella cheese

1 cup Parmesan cheese

4 cups marinara sauce

1 egg

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet, add ground beef, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with the egg until smooth.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 noodles over the sauce, then add ricotta mixture, beef, more marinara, and mozzarella.
  7. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

  • Swap ground beef for Italian sausage for richer flavor.
