This Jalapeño Cilantro Ranch Salad Dressing is creamy, fresh, and bursting with bold flavor. Combining classic ranch richness with bright cilantro and a gentle jalapeño kick, it’s perfect for salads, tacos, wraps, and dipping sauces.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or buttermilk
  • 1 medium jalapeño, seeded and roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves, packed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons milk (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Seed and roughly chop the jalapeño. Wash and dry the cilantro thoroughly.
  2. Add mayonnaise, sour cream (or buttermilk), jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper to a blender or food processor.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Add milk one tablespoon at a time if needed, blending until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt, lime juice, or jalapeño if desired.
  6. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Remove all jalapeño seeds for a milder dressing.
  • Chilling enhances the flavor significantly.
  • Stir before serving if slight separation occurs.
  • Use buttermilk for a thinner, pourable dressing.
