- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and cheddar cheese.
- Mix gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep meatballs tender.
- Roll mixture into 1–1.5 inch meatballs and place on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned.
- Let meatballs rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Swap cheddar with mozzarella or pepper jack for variety.
- Add chopped pickles or brush with BBQ sauce for a flavor twist.
- Use ground turkey for a lighter version.
- Meatballs can be formed ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
