Ingredients
- 8 celery stalks, washed and trimmed
- 115 g cream cheese, softened
- 85 g blue cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 16 pitted green olives
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Wash the celery stalks thoroughly and trim the ends.
- Cut each celery stalk into pieces about 7–8 cm (3 inches) long.
- In a medium bowl combine the softened cream cheese, crumbled blue cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Mix until the filling becomes smooth and creamy.
- Using a spoon or piping bag, fill the hollow center of each celery stick with the cheese mixture.
- Slice the green olives in half and gently press one half into the top of each filled celery piece.
- Arrange the Martini Sticks on a serving platter.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
- Refrigerate for about 20 minutes before serving for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use softened cream cheese to make the filling smooth and easy to pipe.
- Prepare the filling up to 3 days in advance and store in the refrigerator.
- Fill the celery shortly before serving to keep it crisp.
- Chopped walnuts or pecans can be added to the filling for extra texture.
- Feta, goat cheese, or extra cream cheese can replace blue cheese for a milder taste.
- Serve chilled or slightly cool for the best flavor.
