Instructions
- In a heat-safe bowl, whisk the orange jello powder with boiling water until fully dissolved. Let cool completely for about 30 minutes.
- Prepare a 9-inch springform pan by spraying it with cooking spray and lining the bottom and sides with parchment paper.
- Mix graham-cracker crumbs, melted butter, and salt until combined. Press into the bottom and slightly up the sides of the pan. Freeze for 30 minutes.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with 1 cup powdered sugar until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with remaining ½ cup powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and orange zest (if using) until stiff peaks form.
- Fold half of the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.
- Fold the remaining whipped cream into the cooled orange jello mixture until combined.
- Alternate spooning cream cheese and orange mixtures into the crust, swirling with a knife for a marbled effect.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight until set.
- Release from the pan, garnish as desired, slice, and serve.
