Instructions
- In a heatproof bowl, combine chopped white chocolate and heavy cream.
- Melt the mixture using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each round until smooth.
- Stir in orange zest and orange extract until well combined.
- Add food coloring if using, and mix until the color is evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours until the mixture is firm.
- Once firm, scoop and roll into evenly sized balls using a small scoop or spoon.
- Roll truffles in powdered sugar or dip into melted white chocolate for coating, if desired.
- Place truffles on a lined tray and let set completely before serving.
