Ingredients
- 1 package Oreo cookies (36 cookies)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 12 ounces chocolate melting wafers or melting chocolate
- Optional decorations: extra melted chocolate, Oreo crumbs, sprinkles, crushed peppermint, chopped nuts
Instructions
- Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
- In a bowl, combine Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
- Scoop and roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze the Oreo balls for about 20–30 minutes, or until firm.
- Meanwhile, melt the chocolate according to package instructions.
- Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Return to the lined sheet.
- Decorate with sprinkles, crushed Oreos, or other toppings if desired.
- Refrigerate the coated Oreo balls until the chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.
Notes
- Use flavored Oreos (mint, golden, etc.) for fun variations.
- Chill the balls before dipping to prevent crumbling in the chocolate.
- Decorate with candy melts or toppings for holidays and themed events.
- Thaw frozen Oreo Balls in the fridge before serving.
