Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough, at room temperature
- 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook for 3–4 minutes until just browned. Remove from pan.
- In the same skillet, cook onions and peppers for 5–7 minutes until softened. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Return steak to skillet, mix with veggies, and remove from heat. Let cool slightly.
- Roll out pizza dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle.
- Spread steak mixture over half of the dough and top with both cheeses.
- Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and seal edges.
- Cut into 10–12 strips. Twist each strip and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly and serve.
Notes
- Use very thin steak slices for quick cooking and tender texture.
- Seal edges well to prevent filling from leaking out.
- Add mushrooms or jalapeños for flavor variations.
- Great for make-ahead—assemble and refrigerate before baking.
- Serve with garlic or cheese dipping sauce for extra flavor.
