  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 to 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough, at room temperature
  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook for 3–4 minutes until just browned. Remove from pan.
  3. In the same skillet, cook onions and peppers for 5–7 minutes until softened. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Return steak to skillet, mix with veggies, and remove from heat. Let cool slightly.
  5. Roll out pizza dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle.
  6. Spread steak mixture over half of the dough and top with both cheeses.
  7. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and seal edges.
  8. Cut into 10–12 strips. Twist each strip and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  10. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly and serve.

Notes

  • Use very thin steak slices for quick cooking and tender texture.
  • Seal edges well to prevent filling from leaking out.
  • Add mushrooms or jalapeños for flavor variations.
  • Great for make-ahead—assemble and refrigerate before baking.
  • Serve with garlic or cheese dipping sauce for extra flavor.
