- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 pineapple rings (fresh or canned, drained)
- 4 burger buns
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef with 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until just combined.
- Form the beef mixture into 4 equal patties and place on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil.
- Place pineapple rings on the same baking sheet and brush with the remaining 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, flipping the pineapple halfway through, until burgers are cooked through and pineapple is caramelized.
- Let the patties rest for a few minutes, then assemble each burger on a bun with a roasted pineapple ring on top.
Notes
- Use smoky barbecue sauce for extra depth of flavor.
- Thaw and pat dry frozen pineapple before baking.
- Add cheese during the last 2–3 minutes of baking if desired.
