Ingredients
- 14 oz package Lil’ Smokies cocktail sausages
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks, drained
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the Lil’ Smokies evenly in a baking dish.
- Scatter the drained pineapple chunks over the sausages.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the sausages and pineapple.
- Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes, stirring once halfway through to coat everything in the glaze.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
Notes
- Use pineapple tidbits instead of chunks for more even distribution.
- Add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Mix in a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup for added depth of flavor.
- Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated before baking.
- Also works well in a slow cooker on low for 3–4 hours.
