Ingredients
- 1 package (3.9 oz) chocolate instant pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 8 oz whipped topping
- 20 Oreo cookies, crushed
- 12–18 candy pumpkins
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 4–6 drops green food coloring
- 1 teaspoon water (for coloring coconut)
Instructions
- Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they form fine crumbs, or crush them in a sealed plastic bag using a rolling pin.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
- Let the pudding set for about 5 minutes according to package directions.
- Gently fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture until smooth and fully combined.
- Add about 1 tablespoon of crushed cookies to the bottom of each clear serving cup.
- Spoon a layer of the pudding mixture over the cookie crumbs.
- Continue layering cookie crumbs and pudding until cups are nearly full, finishing with cookie crumbs on top.
- Refrigerate the cups for at least 1 hour to allow the dessert to set.
- Place shredded coconut in a small container with a lid, add green food coloring and water, and shake until evenly colored.
- Before serving, sprinkle the green coconut over the cookie layer to resemble grass.
- Top each cup with one or two candy pumpkins to create the pumpkin patch decoration.
