A vibrant and refreshing Red, White & Blue Daiquiri cocktail featuring layered icy sections of sweet strawberries, creamy coconut or honeydew melon, and blue curacao. Perfect for summer parties and patriotic celebrations.

  • Total Time: 15–20 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

2 oz light or white rum

1 oz simple syrup or sugar (adjust to taste)

1 oz fresh lime juice

1 1/2 cups ice

1/2 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)

1/2 cup coconut sorbet or honeydew melon (or lime daiquiri mix) for white layer

1 oz blue curacao or blue passionfruit liqueur for blue layer

Optional garnish: fresh or frozen blueberries

Instructions

  1. Blend rum, simple syrup, lime juice, and ice until smooth. Pour half into a container and freeze briefly to firm up.
  2. Add strawberries to the remaining lime mixture and blend until smooth and bright red. Pour this red layer into serving glasses.
  3. Blend coconut sorbet or honeydew melon with rum and ice to create a creamy white layer. Spoon gently over the red layer.
  4. Rinse blender, then combine blue curacao, lime juice, rum, sugar, and ice. Blend until slushy and blue. Layer gently on top of the white layer.
  5. Garnish with blueberries if desired and serve immediately before layers blend.

Notes

  • Scale ingredients to serve more guests.
  • Swap white layer with pineapple or classic lime daiquiri mix.
  • Make a non-alcoholic version by omitting rum or using a citrus mocktail base.
  • Try different berries or fruits for the red layer to vary flavors.
  • Prepare and freeze layers ahead; thaw slightly before assembling.
  • If no blue curacao, use blue food coloring with triple sec or blue raspberry syrup.
