Ingredients
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 package (about 4 ounces) saltine crackers
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- ¼ cup sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay saltine crackers edge to edge in a single layer across the baking sheet.
- Pour caramel sauce evenly over the crackers and spread to coat.
- Bake for 5–7 minutes until caramel is bubbling and lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over hot caramel. Let sit 1–2 minutes to soften.
- Spread melted chocolate evenly over the surface with a spatula or spoon.
- Sprinkle sea salt evenly on top.
- Cool at room temperature for 10–15 minutes, then break into bite-sized pieces.
Notes
- Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
- Thick caramel sauce works best—avoid overly runny versions.
- Try variations with chopped nuts, peanut butter drizzle, or dark chocolate chips.
- Let sit at room temperature before serving for best texture.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
