Ingredients
- 12 sandwich bread crusts (from about 6–8 slices of bread)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Lay sandwich crust strips on a clean surface and trim if needed for even rolling.
- Brush each crust strip lightly with the garlic butter mixture.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan along one side of each strip.
- Roll each strip tightly into a spiral and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush tops with remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with extra cheese.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness, watching carefully to avoid burning.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Place rolls seam-side down to prevent unrolling.
- Avoid overfilling with cheese to help rolls hold their shape.
- Fresh garlic provides the best flavor, but pre-minced can be used.
- For extra crispiness, finish with a brief broil.
- Whole wheat crusts can be used for added flavor.
