  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup chicken or seafood broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Garlic bread, toasted (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in the broth and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, then season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Add mussels, cover the pan, and cook until they open (about 5–7 minutes). Discard any that don’t open.
  6. Stir in shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3–4 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately with toasted garlic bread.
