- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup French onion soup
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Additional Swiss cheese for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, Swiss cheese, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly and shape into a loaf.
- Transfer the loaf to the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before it’s done, top with extra Swiss cheese and let it melt.
- Serve hot directly from the slow cooker.
